Farthingale Lectures/ Talks 2025 on the morning of our Grand Regency Ball Saturday September 20th from 9am

After the success of last years talks on the morning of our Grand Regency ball, we are very pleased to announce that they are happening again, with a new set of fabulous speakers.

The ticket cost of £35 covers all 3 talks, the talks will start at 9am. The talks will be approx 1hr each with a short break in between. Our bar will be open in the morning so you’ll be able to purchase refreshments during the breaks, and take them in with you whilst enjoying the talks.

We’re very pleased to announce our list of speakers and their talks this year as follows and appearing in this order from 9am:

Dr Hillary Burlock, “At the Assembly with Jane Austen”

Charlotte Raine, “Laced in History: Corsetry and the silhouette of the Regency Era”

Zack Pinsent, Bespoke Period Tailor: “Dressing Mr Darcy”

Had a naval captains frock made in August 2015, Chris did an excellent job, very friendly, gets back to emails fast, fair prices. Just know, it's just a few people working in his shop so expect orders to take some time. I live in the United States and I emailed them my measurements and the coat fit wonderfully. Would buy from these people again
